This album can be split into 2. The amazingly good and heartbreaking first half, and the boring but still heartbreaking second half.
The first 4 songs on this project are phenomenal. You just feel the emotion in every bit of writing in these songs, and it shows and really pays off. Your heart brakes listening to her stories over and over again, as though you can feel what she went through. And it hurts, but in the best possible way. Art is supposed to make you feel something, and this half of the album does that over and over again.
The rest of the album (with the only real exception being Scorpio Rising), just feels like she's out of emotion. She just doesn't sell these songs in the same way that she did in the beginning. That, combined with just average writing, makes this half of the album forgettable, and songs I wish there was more thought into.
I recommend this album, especially the beginning as it's full of emotion. Give it a listen, and let me know what you think!
