Winter Hut EP by Oofoe Review

Winter Hut EP - Oofoe

3.5/10

Spotify

Underwhelming is the word I'd use to describe this project. Having listen to Oofoe's music in the past, I was underwhelmed by how basic everything was in this project. Nothing is necessarily BAD about this record, but nothing is really good about it either.

Cherish, the first song off this record, is one of the most interesting on the entire project. The use of the synthetic voices is cool and I love when artists step out of there comfort zone and make something good because of it.

Besides that song, though, everything is just kinda bland. And while bland doesn't necessarily mean bad, in alot of cases on this project, it's just boring and doesn't change at all throughout the 1-2 minutes they last. If you're interesting in short instrumental beats of his, I recommend listening to i should be sleeping right now, that project, while still suffering from some of the same issues, has more creative melodies looped which creates for a better experience than most of this album.

Favorite tracks - cherish, cinnamon, october

Least Favorite Tracks - dreamin of brazil, pinecone

Thank you so much for reading! And as always, this is Kenny Haller, over and out!
