Phillip Phillips is back and I couldn't be happier. The winner of the 11th season of American Idol is back with his 3rd album, and his first since 2014. In that time, it seems like Phillips really polished his sound, and it really payed off on this album. Every song's production is incredible, with every detail being perfected into an album that's a joy to listen to, from the slow acoustic ballads to the big electric songs.There's a moment near the end of the album, on the 2nd to last song, called "What Will Become Of Us" that literally had my heart outside of my body with how organic and beautiful it is. His guitar, some strings and himself just make for an amazing song that has you feeling so many different emotions at once. You would think that's where the album would end, on a slow ballad, but no. There's one more song...
Into The Wild is more upbeat, and inspiring. This does something really important. It shows how even though you have your bad moments, you never want to end on a bad note. It changes the perspective of the album for the better by ending with a great song like this one.
There's so many fantastic songs on this record, that it would take forever to go through all of them. You really need to give this album a listen to see for yourself. I promise, this one is worth it.
