Amen by Rich Brian (Rich Chigga) Review

Amen - Rich Brian

6.5/10

This album was a surprise. I had enjoyed his previous music, but I wasn't optimistic on what his debut album would sound like. That's why I'm very happy to say, it's good. It's not fantastic, but it's very good and enjoyable to listen to.

The opening song of this album, Amen, sounds like a freestyle, which is very strange for the title track of an album. However, he does it for the most part successfully, setting a mood for the rest of the album, filled with much more interesting instrumentals.

On the track Attention, he has a feature from Offset, which seems like a sort of challenge for himself. He wants to show that he can keep up with his flow, and even do it better. And he does that, having much better verses than Offset, and showing his lyrical capability as being much higher than Offset's as well.

Not every song on this song is great, a few of which feeling predictable and not original, but the vast majority of this album remains interesting, and more importantly, enjoyable. Whether he's calling himself the "Indonesian MC Hammer", or talking about the ending of The Office, this album will keep you entertained throughout.

Favorite Tracks - Introvert, Glow Like That, See Me, Attention

Least Favorite Tracks - Tresspass, Kitty
