Con Todo El Mundo by Khruangbin Review

Con Todo El Mundo by Khruangbin

6.5/10

This album would be perfect for laying out in the sun and closing your eyes and relaxing to. You can just sit back and jam to this album and have a fantastic time. And there's COWS on the cover! How could this album not be amazing with cows on the cover?

There's very few lyrics on this album, which allows the listener to get lost in the record, and get mesmerized by the psychedelic world that Khruangbin has created for the majority of the album without ever really being thrown out of it. Maybe it could've had a little more variety to keep you from getting too comfortable, but still it's very enjoyable to listen to.

This album's got some funk in it, that helps to enhance the sound and keep it from becoming boring. The bass keeps the songs moving and flowing seamlessly, especially in less exciting moments on this record.

One gripe I have with this album is the similarity between songs on this thing. I wish the group would've changed it up a little more on this project, to keep it from becoming dull in spots.

This album is a very smooth listen, and very enjoyable to get through. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys music with few lyrics, as well as anyone looking for something different. Not every moment on this record is fantastic, but the few dull or strange moments are drowned out by the mirage of music to lose yourself in. It's certainly worth a listen.
